Megan is 6 months old!

We can't believe Miss Megan came into our lives only 6 months ago. Watching her grow has been like a miracle every day. She has changed so much and hits new milestones all the time. I'm sorry that I haven't been great at keeping you guys all updated with pictures and info. As you can imagine, she is keeping me on my toes these days.

Megan is now eating solid foods and believe it or not, she now has her two bottom front teeth in. She is already a talker. Last week she started getting the consanants like b and d. The video is of her talking up a storm. I think she inherited her mother's gift of gab.

She is sitting up and while she isn't crawling yet, I feel like she is just days away. She can know pull herself from sitting to kneeling (and standing) by holding onto just about anything including the side of her crib, playpen or even Larry or my shirt.

Her 6 month check up is finally on Wednesday so I will update you all then on her weight and length.

Doctor Checkup and Pictures

Megan had her 4 month appointment today. She is now 24 3/4 inches long and 14 pounds and 6 ounces. Believe it or not, she is actually taller than average for her age. Megan has a cold right now but we were unable to convince the doctor that she should miss her vaccines. Poor thing had to endure another 4 shots but she did really well and took a long nap when she got home.

Also, as most of you know, Megan got her pictures taken last week. They are now all posted. you can see them by going to www.brendagailofdallas.com and clicking on Online Proofing. We are at the bottom under Snyder's. If you are interested in getting any pictures, don't order them through the site. Larry and I are going to order the CD and we will be able to print pictures for everyone for cheaper.

Visitors, Visitors, and more Visitors!

Our house has been full of family excited to see our Megan. She got to meet her Grandpop and see her Grammy, Pa-Paw and Aunt Tina who hadn't seen her since her birth.

Megan is getting so big - too fast. She can grab her feet like a pro, push up on her arms and loves to suck her thumb. Her Nana evens says that she can roll over - although she refuses to repeat it for her loving mom and dad! Defiant even at her age.

When her Grammy was here, she bought Megan a walker. At first we thought she would have to grow into it, but Megan loves to sit and turn the steering wheel.

Dedication Day

Larry and I have had company in town for the past week. My sister, Jacqui, and her two boys, Matt and John, came into town to see Megan for the first time. As you can see below, Jacqui loved on Megan all week long.

During their time here, Megan got to go to the pool for the very first time. She has the cutest pink polka dot bikini.

Today Megan was dedicated to the Lord at our church. She, along with 4 other children, went up front and the parents and the congregation made a promise to teach her of Jesus and raise her to follow His word. Here's Megan in the dedication outfit that her Nana bought her.

After the dedication, several family members and friends came back to our place for lunch. The first picture is of my mom, Megan and my two nephews. John is on the right and Matthew is on the left. My Aunt Gloria was also able to come and she is in the second picture. And finally, there is a picture of Megan's cake - just for you mom.

Unrelated, but here is the latest family pic. With everyone in town, we could finally get all 3 of us in th picture.

Megan is 2 months old!

I can't believe she has already been with us for two months. It seems like yesterday we were coming home from the hospital. At her two month appointment she weighed in at 11 lb. 14.5 oz. and she is 23 inches. Unfortunately she also got 4 shots. While she took them like a pro, her dad and I were broken hearted.

Her personality comes out more and more every day. She loves morning time and is nothing but smiles. Even though she isn't talking yet, her coos, grunts and whiles already tell us that she is going to be just as opinionated and spunky as her mother and father.

She loves the outside and had a great time on her first camping trip.

I have to go cook dinner but I promise more to come in the next few days!

Many New Firsts

Megan's last two weeks have been filled with all sorts of "firsts." Her belly button finally healed and we celebrated by taking a bath in Megan's jacuzzi tub.

While her little hands have been very active, she is just now learning how to get them to react the way she wants. Last week she managed to get that little thumb of hers into her mouth for the first time.

Megan had her one month check-up and passed with flying colors. We have no concerns that she isn't getting enough to eat as she is now a healthy 10 lbs. 8 oz. and she is up to 22 1/4 inches! Unfortunately this doctor's appointment also included her first immunization shot. She took it like a champ and only cried for a few seconds. Here she is showing off her war wounds and her really stylish band-aid.

While I haven't been able to succeed yet, Daddy has been able to make his little girl smile for the first time. That smile is going to break a lot of hearts some day!

Megan Week 3 & 4

I'm sorry for the late post. Megan has fans all across the country that have been dying to see updated photos. She has been growing like a weed and she is already holding her head up incredibly well. Below are the pictures from the last two weeks.
